Kids driving you loopy? Need to get them out of the house? We’ve wrapped up Logan’s best activities and attractions for families and kids. From parks and playgrounds to food and adventure, many of these activities won’t cost the earth and they might just save your sanity, too.

Parks & wildlife  

01. Daisy Hill Koala Centre  

Lovers of native animals will love Daisy Hill Koala Centre - plus, it’s completely free! Nestled in a eucalyptus forest and complete with large outdoor koala enclosures and interactive displays, Daisy Hill Koala Centre is a great place to learn about koalas and their conservation.  

02. Underwood Park  

Dotted with gazebos and play equipment, Underwood Park is one of the area’s most beautiful and expansive parks. Bigger kids can feed their need for speed with skate and BMX facilities and furry friends are welcome in the off-leash dog area.  

03. Berinda Wetlands Park  

Set on over 80 hectares of natural beauty, Berinda Wetlands Park is the perfect spot for plant and wildlife lovers. There are 100 nesting boxes for birds, possums and gliders installed throughout bushland, so keep an eye out for furry or feathered friends! 8.5km of pathways also make this a popular spot for those who want to walk, ride and scoot.  

04. Darlington Parklands  

Darlington Parklands is the ultimate kids’ destination with a 30m flying fox, pools, basketball court, fountains, fort, climbing wall, sand pit, climbing dome and a sports oval. 

05. Logan Gardens  

Logan Gardens is a family favourite, with safe bike paths, an all-abilities accessible playground and you can try your hand at disc golf or bocce. 

06. Eagleby Wetlands 

Jump on your bike or scooter and explore Eagleby Wetlands by embarking on its Adventure Trail – passing lagoons, ponds, fields and boardwalks, you'll encounter native birds, wetland boardwalks, innovative recycled water initiatives and bushland busting with wildlife. 

Action & adventure  

07. Kingston Park Raceway  

Kingston Park Raceway is the ultimate day out for kids who love to get amongst the action. Youngsters can do laps in the Rookie Karts and learn the finer points of driving on the Indy Circuit, and parents can use the pedals while littlies take the wheel in the dual-seat karts. There’s also a Kids Go Zone with computer games and rides.  

08. Beenleigh BMX and Skate Park 

Beenleigh BMX and Skate Park - Australia’s first international-standard BMW freestyle and skate park – can be found in Beenleigh’s Doug Larsen Park. Free to access and designed with maximum air time in mind, the Park has ramps, box jumps and half pipes and rail pipes, plus smooth concrete options for the little kids.  

09. Bayside Wake Park  

Catering to first timers and advanced riders, Bayside Wake Park is the ultimate destination for Wakeboarding and Water Skiing. You can have a crack at the popular sport with a casual day pass, or even book the kids in for multi day camps.

Eat & drink

10. Bee All Natural 

A family-owned business, operating since 2013, Bee All Natural opens its farm gates on weekends and welcomes visitors to learn about its bees and hives, and try its all-natural award-winning raw honey and bee products.  

11. Poppy’s Chocolate 

11. Always wanted to visit a chocolate factory? Poppy’s Chocolate is a local favourite with mouth-watering tours of the facility throughout the week, a Chocolate Shop to stock up on goodies, and a small café to indulge in chocolate! 

12. Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm  

Pack the kids in the car and head down to Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm where the kids can pick their own strawberries on the farm (June to November) or get some fresh from the on-site shop. Handmade Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream will be the hero of the day here.  

13. Night Markets  

The Beenleigh Night Markets, Flagstone Twilight Markets and Eats & Beats are just three of Logan’s best night markets, offering food truck and food stalls, live music and entertainment to close out a day of adventure.  

14. Devon Pixies 

Tucked away in the newly refurbished Kingston Butter Factory precinct, Devon Pixies is Logan’s first dedicated tea house serving up vintage style sweet and savoury high tea, freshly bakes scones and sweets and an extensive range of loose-leaf teas.

Arts & culture 

15. Logan Art Gallery 

Logan Art Gallery is the city’s artistic hub with plenty on offer for crafty and creative kids. School holiday programs are always popular, but visitors can also explore and connect with exhibitions that filter through and the permanent works on display.  

16. Logan Entertainment Centre 

From musical theatre, dance, music and comedy, the Logan Entertainment Centre offers family friendly fare year-round, and always off a jam-packed school holidays program. 

17. Yugambeh Museum  

Yugambeh Museum delves into the history of the Yugambeh Aboriginal people and provides special lectures for school-aged kids. The interactive centre delivers information in an immersive, experiential format. 

18. Mayes Cottage 

Kids and adults alike can take a step back in time and witness a slice of Logan’s history at Mayes Cottage. Explore the original hut and house, view artefacts and check out the barn and cream shed.
