The City Sounds

The City Sounds is the largest, longest running, free live music program of its kind in Australia, presenting music in nine CBD locations every week. With everything from Alternative, Acoustic and Folk, to Jazz, Reggae, and Electro genres. Home to some of the most influential Australian bands and artists of the last 40 years, there’s no doubt Brisbane has developed a distinct music DNA. From 70s rock band The Saints, 80s jangle-pop band The Go-Betweens, and alternative rock band Powderfinger, to more recent talent including indie rock four-piece Last Dinosaurs and folk pop songstress Emma Louise.
